Add Displet Property Search to Your Website

This article explains how to add a Displet IDX property search or listing experience to a website using an embedded iframe URL provided by Displet | Solid Earth.

Use this guide to add a Displet IDX property search or listing experience to a page on your website.

A Displet IDX embed allows visitors to search for properties and view listing information without leaving your website.

What Is a Displet IDX Embed?

A Displet IDX embed displays property search and listing content directly within a website page.

Depending on its configuration, the embed may display:

  • A general property search
  • Listings associated with a specific agent
  • Listings associated with a specific office
  • A search with preset criteria, such as location, price range, or listing status

What You Need

Before adding the Displet IDX Property Search to your website, you will need:

  • The Displet IDX embed URL provided by your website administrator or TRIBUS
  • Access to edit the website page
  • An iFrame, HTML, or embed block within your website platform

If you do not have an embed URL, contact your website administrator or TRIBUS Support and provide the following information:

  • The website where the IDX content will appear
  • The page where you want to add it
  • Whether the page should display a general search, agent listings, office listings, or a filtered search
  • The agent or office that should receive leads, if applicable

Add the IDX Embed to Your Website

The exact steps may vary depending on your website platform.

  1. Open the page where you want the IDX search or listings to appear.
  2. Add an iFrame, HTML, or embed block to the page.
  3. Paste the Displet IDX embed URL into the block.
  4. Adjust the width and height so the search experience displays correctly.
  5. Preview the page on both desktop and mobile devices.
  6. Test the search tools, property links, and lead forms.
  7. Publish the page once you confirm everything is working correctly.

Basic iFrame Example

If your website platform requires standard iFrame code, use the following format:

<iframe src="YOUR_DISPLET_IDX_EMBED_URL" width="100%" height="900" frameborder="0" title="Property Search"> </iframe>

Replace YOUR_DISPLET_IDX_EMBED_URL with the URL provided to you.

Property search works best when the embed has enough space to display search options, listing photos, and property information. You may need to adjust the height based on your website’s layout.

Common Uses

General Property Search

Add a general property search to a page linked from your website’s main navigation. This gives visitors access to the broadest selection of available properties.

Agent Listing Page

Add an agent specific listing experience to an agent’s profile page. This allows visitors to view properties associated with that agent.

Office Listing Page

Add an office specific listing experience to an office or location page. This allows visitors to browse inventory associated with that office.

Neighborhood or Market Page

Add a filtered property search to a neighborhood, city, or market page. The search can open with relevant criteria already selected while allowing visitors to refine their results.

Before Publishing

Complete the following checks before making the page available to visitors:

  • Confirm the correct properties appear.
  • Make sure search filters work as expected.
  • Open several property detail pages.
  • Submit a test lead form.
  • Confirm the lead is routed to the correct agent or team.
  • Review the page on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Make sure the search area is large enough to use comfortably.

Best Practices

  • Place agent specific listings on the corresponding agent’s profile page.
  • Place office specific listings on office or location pages.
  • Avoid overly narrow search criteria that may produce few or no results.
  • Give the IDX experience enough space to display properly.
  • Test the page on desktop and mobile devices before publishing.
  • Periodically test lead forms to confirm inquiries are being delivered correctly.

If you need a new embed, changes to an existing embed, or assistance with lead routing, contact TRIBUS Support with the website address, page address, and a description of what you want the page to display.
